* Exported from MasterCook * DUMP CAKE Recipe By : GRIT -- 06/01/97 Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cakes Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 can crushed pineapple in syrup -- (20 oz. size) 1 can cherry pie filling -- (20 oz. size) 1 box deluxe yellow cake mix 1 cup pecans, -- chopped 1/2 cup margarine -- (1 stick) Preheat oven to 350. Grease 13x9x2-inch pan. Dump undrained pineapple into pan; spread evenly over pineapple. Dump in the pie filling and spread evenly over pineapple. Dump dry cake mix onto cherry layer; spread evenly. Sprinkle pecans over cake mix. Put margarine, cut into thin slices, on top. Bake for 48-53 minutes. Serve warm or cold. COOKS NOTE: Serve with ice cream or whipped topping. You can substitute other pie filling flavors or different fruits in syrup. Walnuts can be substituted for pecans, and 1 cup coconut can be added with nuts.
