      Title: Cherry Pretzel Torte

      Yield: 1 Torte
 
MMMMM---------------------------CRUST--------------------------------
      1 c  Butter
    3/4 c  Sugar
      2 c  Pretzels; coarsely crushed

MMMMM--------------------------FILLING-------------------------------
      8 oz Cream cheese; softened
    1/2 c  Confectioners sugar
      2    Env Dream Whip
      1 lg Can cherry pie filling
 
  Crust:
  
  Melt butter in saucepan, add sugar, and blend. Add pretzels and stir
  lightly. Reserve 1 c for topping and press remainder into ungreased
  9x13" pan.
  
  Filling:
  
  Blend cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl. Prepare whipped topping
  mix as directed on package. Fold Dream Whip into cream cheese
  mixture. Spread 1/2 of this on crust, then spread pie filling. Add
  remaining cheese mixture over filling and top with remaining pretzel
  mixture. Refrigerate.
