      4 c  Holiday cookie mix; (see
           -recipe)
    1/2 c  Butter or margarine;
           -softened
      3    Eggs; beaten
  1 1/2 c  Sugar
    1/3 c  All-purpose flour
    3/4 ts Baking powder
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 ts Vanilla
    3/4 c  Flaked coconut
    3/4 c  Maraschino cherries
           Chopped/drained
      1 c  Nuts; chopped

     Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cookie mix and margarine; press in
  ungreased baking pan, 13x9x2". Bake 25 min. Mix remaining ingredients
  except nuts; spread over baked layer. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 25 min. Cool
  completely. Cut into bars, about 2x1".
