---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Apricot Bars From Butterfingers Categories: Cookies Yield: 1 servings 2/3 c Dried apricots 1/2 c Butter or margarine 1/4 c Sugar 1 c Flour 2 Eggs; well-beaten 1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Vanilla 1/2 c Chopped walnuts 1/4 ts Salt 1 c Packed brown sugar 1/3 c Flour Powdered sugar Rinse apricots, cover with water, boil 10 minutes. Cool, drain and chop fine. Mix butter, sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly. Pack into greased 8" square pan and bake at 350 for 25 minutes until lightly browned. Sift 1/3 cup flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat brown sugar gradually into eggs. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add vanilla, nuts and apriocots. Spread over baked layer and bake 30 minutes longer. Cool in pan, cut into bars and roll carefully in powdered sugar. These are not only pretty, they are absolutely luscious and rich. From the book Butterfingers.Jm -----
