---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Marshmallow Bars Categories: Cookies, Marshmallow Yield: 36 servings 32 lg Marshmallows or 3 c Miniature marshmallows 1/4 c Margarine or butter 1/2 ts Vanilla 5 c Crispy corn puff; toasted Oat; cornflake or whole Wheat Flake cereal Recipe by: Betty Crocker's Cookbook Butter square pan, 9 X 9 X 2 inches. Heat marshmallows and margarine in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth; remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Stir in half of the cereal at a time until evenly coated. Press in pan; cool. Cut into about 2 X 1-inch bars. 36 BARS; 35 CALORIES PER BAR. To Microwave: Cut margarine into 4 pieces. Place on marshmallows in 3-quart microwavable bowl or casserole. Microwave uncovered on high 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes 30 seconds, stirring every minute, until marshmallows can be stirred smooth. Continue as directed. -----
