                                 K - Bars

   8      cups          Special K Cereal
   1 1/3  cups          corn syrup
   1 1/3  cups          sugar
   1 1/3  cups          peanut butter
   2                    chocolate candy bars -- 7 ounce

Butter a 9 x 13 pan; set aside.  Pour cereal in large mixing bowl; set
aside.  Combine syrup and sugar in saucepan.  Over medium-high heat,
bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.  Remov from heat.  Mix in peanut
butter.  Pour over cereal and mix together.  Press mixture in buttered
pan.  Melt chocolate candy bars in small saucepan over medium heat and
