                        Peanut Butter Cereal Bars

   6      cups          peanut butter flavor cereal
   1      cup           peanuts
     3/4  cup           corn syrup
     1/3  cup           sugar
     1/3  cup           brown sugar
     3/4  cup           peanut butter
                        ***TOPPING***
   1      cup           semisweet chocolate chips
   2      tablespoons   peanut butter

Grease 9 x 13 pan.  In large bowl, combine cereal and peanuts.  In
medium saucepan, combine corn syrup, sugar and brown sugar.  Cook over
medium heat until mixture comes to boil, stirring constantly.  Remove
from heat; stir in 3/4 cup peanut butter until well blended.  Pour
peanut butter mixture over cereal mixture; toss to coat.  Press mixture
in greased pan.  In small saucepan over low heat, melt topping
ingredients, stirring constantly.  Spread over bars.  Let stand until
set.  Cut into bars.
