                               Snicker Bars

   1                    German Chocolate Cake Mix
  14      Oz            Caramels
     2/3  Cup           evaporated milk
     3/4  Cup           Butter -- melted
   1      Cup           chocolate chips
   1      Cup           nuts -- chopped (optional)

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk.  Combine cake mix with butter, 1/2 cup milk,
mix with spoon.  Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch pan.  Spread mixture.  Bake at
350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.  Cover with caramels, chips and nuts. Put
remaining cake mix on top.  Bake 10 minutes.
