---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Haselnussmakronen-Hazlenut Macaroons Germany Categories: Cookies Yield: 2 servings 3/4 c Sugar 1 c Hazelnuts or almonds; ground 1 1/2 tb Cocoa 2 ts Lemon rind; grated 1/2 ts Vanilla extract 2 lg Egg whites; beaten stiff Add the sugar to the egg whites and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Add the remaining ingredients and fold in gently. Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture on to a greased cookie sheet about 1" apart. Allow to stand. Bake in 300 F oven for 1/2 hour. Carefully transfer to a cooling rack. Store in an airtight container. They will keep for weeks. Servings depends on cookie size. -----
