---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Rosettes Categories: Cookies Yield: 48 servings 2 Eggs 2 ts Sugar 1 c Milk 1 tb Vanilla extract 1 c All-purpose flour 1/4 ts Salt Cooking oil for deep-fat -frying Icing: 2 c Confectioner's sugar 1 ts Vanilla extract 1 tb Water; 1-3 tablespoon Recipe by: TASTE OF HOME DEC/JAN 1996 In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar; stir in milk and vanilla. Combine flour and salt; add to batter and beat until smooth. Heat 2-1/2" of oil to 365 degrees in a deep fat fryer or electric skillet. Place rosette iron in hot oil, then dip in batter, three-fourths up on sides of iron (do not let batter run over top of iron). Immediately place into hot oil; loosen rosette with fork and remove iron. Fry 1-2 minutes per side or until golden. Remove to a wire rack covered with paper towel. Repeat with remaining batter. for icing, combine the sugar, vanilla and enough water to make a dipping consistency. Dip edges of rosettes into icing; dry on wire racks. Yield: 4-5 dozen. -----
