---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Cookies Categories: Cookies, Chocolate Yield: 1 servings 1 3/4 c Flour 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Baking powder 1/2 c Shortening 1 c Sugar 1 Egg 1 ts Vanilla extract 1/4 c Milk 18 lg Marshmallows; halved 36 Pecan halves; if desired 2 c Confectioners' sugar 5 tb Cocoa powder 1/8 ts Salt 3 tb Butter or margarine; -softened 4 tb Light cream; (4 to 5) Sift together first 4 ingredients. Set aside. In mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and milk. Add flour mixture and mix well. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Remove cookies from oven, and top each with a marshmallow half. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Place cookies on wire racks to cool.
