---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Peanut Butter Kisses Categories: Cookies, Chocolate Yield: 1 servings 1 3/4 c All-purpose flour 1 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Salt 1 Unsalted butter 1/2 c Creamy peanut butter 1 c Granulated sugar divided 1/2 c Packed light brown sugar 1 lg Egg lightly beaten 2 tb Milk 1 ts Vanilla extract 36 Milk chocolate kisses With rack in top third position, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt onto a piece of wax paper. In a large bowl with an electric mixer on high, beat butter and peanut butter together until creamy. Gradually add 1/2 cup granulated sugar and all the brown sugar. Beat until light in color and consistency. Beat in egg , milk and vanilla. Using a wooden spoon, stir in flour mixture. Place remaining granulated sugar in small bowl. Using a tablespoon of dough for each, form dough into balls. Roll balls in sugar to coat evenly. Place 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake, one sheet at a time, until edges are set, about 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Place a kiss in the center of each cookie. Return to the oven. Continue baking until lightly browned about 2 minutes longer. Cool cookies on sheet 5 minutes and then transfer to wire cake racks to cool. Repeat with remaining cookies.
