* Exported from MasterCook * Chocolate Bonbon Cookies Recipe By : Betty Crocker, (C) General Mills, Inc. 1998 Serving Size : 60 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cookies & Brownies Holiday Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 c Holiday cookie mix (see recipe) 1 c Nuts -- chopped 1/4 c Butter -- softened 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Almond extract 2 Eggs 2 oz Unsweetened chocolate -- - melted and cooled Powdered sugar Easy Frosting: 1 c Powdered sugar 1 tb Milk (approximate) 1/2 ts Almond extract Heat oven to 375 F. Mix holiday cookie mix, nuts, margarine, vanilla, almond extract, eggs, and chocolate. Shape dough into 1" balls. Place about 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Roll about 30 cookies in powdered sugar while warm; cool on wire rack. Roll in powdered sugar again. Frost remaining cookies with Easy Frosting. Decorate frosted cookies with coconut. Easy Frosting: Mix all ingredients until smooth and of spreading consistency.
