Stir occasionally until smooth.Combine sugar,salt & eggs. Gradually add caramel sauce;Mix well. Stir in pecan halves & pour into pastry shell.Bake @ 350 degree for 40 minutes.Pie filling will appear soft,but becomes firm as it cools. -----
