* Exported from MasterCook * Turtles Recipe By : Eileen and Bob Holze Serving Size : 48 Preparation Time :0:20 Categories : Candy Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 lb Caramels (57) 8 ts Water 1 ts Vanilla 12 oz Semisweet chocolate chips 1 1/2 c Pecan halves Melt caramels with water and vanilla in double boiler. Cool slightly. Separately, melt chocolate and set aside in a warm place. Place 4 pecan halves on prepared baking sheet. Spoon about 1 ts caramel mixture in center of group of nuts, half covering each nut. Repeat until all nuts are used. Let stand about 10 minutes. Spread some melted chocolate over each candy.
