---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Pecan Delights Categories: Candies Yield: 4 Dozen -Sue Woodward 2-1/4 c Brown sugar; packed 1 c Butter; or margarine 1 c Light corn syrup 1/8 ts Salt 1 cn 14-oz. sweetnd condnsd milk 1 ts Vanilla extract 1-1/2 lb Whole pecans 1 c Semisweet chocolate chips -(6-oz.) 1 c Milk chocolate chips 2 tb Shortening In a lg. saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over med. heat until all sugar is dissolved. Gradually add milk and mix well. Continue cooking until candy thermometer reads 248 (firm ball stage). Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla until blended. Fold in the pecans. Drop by tbspfuls onto a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Chill until firm.
