  1 1/3 c  Sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 c  Maple syrup
 
  pn Salt 1 ts Vanilla or maple flavoring Cook milk, syrup and salt together
  in heavy pan.  Stir over low heat until hard ball forms when tested in cold
  water. Add flavoring. Pour into buttered pans. Cool and pull. Cut with
  scissors.
