                     SOFT CHOCOLATE FROSTING/FILLING

   1       c            Sugar
   3       tb           Potato starch -- (or corn
                        Starch)
     1/8   ts           Salt
   1       c            Boiling water
   2       tb           Margarine
   1       c            Chocolate chips -- (6 oz)
   1       t            Vanilla -- or pkg vanilla
                        Sugar

  Mix sugar, starch, and salt, add boiling water.  Cook,
  stirring constantly, till
  it comes to a boil, boil one min. and remove from he
  at.  Stir in chips till smooth.  Stir in margarine and
  vanilla.  Spread while
  warm.
  
  If using vanilla sugar, add with the regular sugar.
