    1/2 c  Brown sugar
      1 lg Egg white
    1/2 ts Vanilla extract
    1/2 ts Maple flavor; optional
 
  Recipe by: Let Them Eat Cake by Virginia N. White With an electric beater
  carefully beat sugar and egg white in the top of a double boiler over
  boiling water until peaks form- about 3 minutes. Add vanilla and maple
  flavor and beat one more minute. Remove from heat and frost the top of the
  cake.
