* Exported from MasterCook * Kahlua Mousse Recipe By : Kelly L Sinkey Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Mousse Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 lb Dark sweet chocolate -- chopped 3 oz Butter -- cut in pieces 1/2 c Powdered sugar 3 Eggs -- separated 1/4 c Kahlua 1 ts Instant coffee powder 2 c Whipping cream Whipped cream (optional) In top of double boiler, melt chocolate and butter over simmering water. In large bowl, combine sugar, yolks, Kahlua, and coffee powder. Blend in chocolate mixture. Whip cream until stiff peaks form; fold into Kahlua & chocolate mixture. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form; fold into mixture. Spoon into serving bowl or dessert glasses. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Garnish, if desired. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
