MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.04 Title: Tiramisu Categories: Polkadot, Corwynt, Desserts Yield: 12 Servings 6 Egg yolks 1 1/4 c Sugar 1 1/4 c Mascarpone 1 3/4 c Heavy cream; whipped to form -soft peaks 1 3/4 c Cold expresso 2 tb Brandy 2 tb Grappa (or brandy) 48 Ladyfingers Powdered unsweetened -chocolate for topping In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the ypolks and sugar until smooth. Add the mascarpone and mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Fold in the whipped cream mixture; set aside. In a medium bowl, combine the expresso, brandy and grappa. Dip 15 of the ladyfingers one at a time into the expresso mixture and arrange in a single layer on a 10x15" platter or a baking sheet, forming a rectangle about 7x13". Cover with half the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers with 15 more ladyfingers dipped in the espresso mixture, then the remaining mascarpone mixture. Sift the chocolate over the top. Halve the remaining 18 ladyfingers and arrange them vertically around the edge of thecake. cut side down. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
