MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Korean Short Ribs Categories: Beef, Fruits, Herbs, Vegetables, Sauces Yield: 6 Servings 1/2 c Soy sauce 1/3 c Brown sugar; packed 1/4 c Mirin 2 ts Sesame oil 1/2 ts Pepper 1 Asian pear; peeled, cored, - quartered 1 md Onion; quartered 8 cl Garlic 1 Fresh ginger piece (1") 3 lb Bone-in beef short ribs; cut - flanken-style Sesame seeds & sliced green - onions In a 13x9" dish, combine the first 5 ingredients. Place pear, onion, garlic, and ginger in a blender; process until smooth. Whisk into soy sauce mixture. Add ribs; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours. Drain and discard marinade. Grill ribs, covered, over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
