---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Candled Apples Categories: Christmas, Crafts Yield: 1 Servings 13 Large yellow apples 13 Tea lights, or votives Lemon juice Footed cake plate Boxwood leaves Lemons or limes Thick toothpicks 1. Cut the bottom off the apples so they stay in one place without rolling. Place a tea light on top of each apple and with a knife, score a circle around the candle. Cut down and scoop out enough of the apple so that all of the candle is below the rim. Sprinkle lemon juice on the apple to prevent it from browning. 2. Cover the cake plate with boxwood leaves and place 5 apples in an evenly spaced circle. Fill the middle of the circle with lemons or limes. Stick toothpicks into the bottom of 4 of the remaining apples and place them on top of the lemons or limes, securing them with toothpicks. Repeat with 3 more apples, and then with the last one make a pyramid. Source: 365 Ways to Prepare for Christmas. Typed in MMFormat by Cindy Hartlin -----
