MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Caramelized Pears
 Categories: Five, Fruits, Herbs
      Yield: 3 Cups

    1/2 c  Brown sugar; packed
    1/4 c  Butter; diced
    1/4 ts Ground cinnamon
      4 c  Ripe pears; peeled, chopped
           Vanilla ice cream (optional)

  In a large skillet, combine brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Cook
  over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally,
  4 to 5 minutes. Add pears; cook and stir until pears are tender, 5
  to 10 minutes longer. Serve over ice cream if desired.
