* Exported from MasterCook * Helen's Rice Recipe By : Christine Community Club Cookbook Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Rice Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/4 c Margarine 1 c Rice -- uncooked 1/2 tb Fresh oregano -- minced 1/4 c Green onions with tops -- sliced 6 oz Mushrooms, canned -- sliced 3/4 c Water 10 3/4 oz Beef consomme -OR- 2 Bouillon cubes -- with: 1 1/3 c Water Melt margarine in covered baking dish. Add rice, oregano and onion tops. Let stand for 1 hour. Add mushrooms, water, and consomme. Bake, covered, at 350 F for 50 minutes. Notes: For larger quantity, use an additional 2 tb margarine, 1/2 c rice, 8 oz Can of mushrooms, and liquid to measure 3 cups. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
