---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: White Gull Inn Apple Coffeecake Categories: Cakes Yield: 14 Servings 1/2 lb Butter; softened 1 1/2 c Sugar 5 lg Eggs 2 1/4 c Sour cream 4 c Flour 1 tb Baking powder 2 ts Baking soda 1 1/2 ts Vanilla 2 c Apples; peeled & chopped 1 tb Cinnamon Topping: 2 c Brown sugar 3 tb Cinnamon 1 c Nuts; chopped Preparation Time: 1:00 hour Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and sour cream; mix well. Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add to butter mixture along with vanilla and beat well. Spread half the mixture into a buttered 10x14" baking pan. Combine apples and cinnamon, spoon over batter in pan. Spread remaining batter over apples. Sprinkle topping mixture over batter. Bake one hour or until cake is golden brown. To make topping: Combine ingredients and mix well. -----
