                              Calico Burgers

   1 1/2  lb            Ground beef
     1/2  c             Cooked rice
     1/4  c             Onion -- chopped
     1/4  c             Green pepper -- chopped
   1      tb            Parsley flakes
   1      ts            Salt
     1/4  ts            Garlic powder
   1      ds            Pepper
                        Barbecue Sauce:
     2/3  c             Water
     1/4  c             Ketchup
   3      tb            Chili sauce
   1      ts            Worcestershire sauce
     1/4  ts            Dried basil

In a bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients; mix well. Shape into 4 to
6 oval patties. Grill over hot coals until meat reaches desired
doneness, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan; simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve with burgers.
