MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Trader Joe's Italiano Burger Categories: Beef, Pork, Vegetables, Cheese, Breads Yield: 2 Sandwiches 8 oz 80/20 Ground chuck 8 oz Sweet Italian sausage Salt & pepper 2 Fire roasted red peppers Garlic-herb & goat cheese - spread/dip 2 Brioche buns 2 sl Mozzarella cheese; thick Marinara sauce Combine the ground beef and sausage in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Mix and form into two patties. Cook as you please, on the stovetop or on the grill, waiting to flip until both sides are nicely charred. Meanwhile, trim a couple of roasted peppers to fit on a bun. Spread both sides of two buns with the garlic spread and then toast them. Place cheese on the bottom buns and toast lightly to melt. Top with the burger patties, roasted red peppers, and a couple of spoonfuls of marinara, followed by the top bun. Serve. Notes: As with most recipes I "winged it" to fit what I had in the pantry or easily available. The pork sausage and ground chuck came from my local (Humphrey's Market) butcher shop. The roasted red peppers from a Del Monte jar, the garlic/herb/cheese spread from the Zaatar container in my ice box and the Onofrio's Basilico Marinara from my friend Joe janazzo's tavern. If you have a Trader Joe's handy you can get all of the ingredients there (heck, they wrote the recipe). Recipe FROM: http://www.simplyrecipes.com Uncle Dirty Dave's Kitchen MMMMM
