* Exported from MasterCook * Butterburgers Recipe By : The Canadiana Cookbook, Mme Jehane Benoit, 1970 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beef Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 lb lean ground beef 1/2 c Cottage cheese 1 Egg 3/4 ts Dry mustard 3 tb Butter -- melted 1 ts Salt 1 ts MSG 1 tb Green onions -- chopped 5 tb Butter -- melted 1 ts Worcestershire sauce In a bowl mix the cottage cheese, egg, seasonings, and green onion. Add 3 tb melted butter. Beat to mix. Add the ground beef and mix well. Make into 4 patties. Melt 5 tb butter in a hot frying pan. Cook the "burgers" to your liking, turning only once. Cut 4 hamburger buns in half. Dip cut sides into pan drippings and place under broiler until lightly toasted. Place meat between bun halves and garnish with pickle fans.
