MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Bean Burgers Categories: Burgers, Vegetarian Yield: 1 Batch 400 g Can black beans 150 g Cooked brown rice 1 bn Spring onions -OR- 1 White onion 2 ts Dried sage; up to 3 ts Salt and pepper These burgers have a nice texture but do require gentle handling. They survive one flip and serving up quite well - just don't move or flip them more than necessary. A good use of left over rice. Chop and fry the spring onions in olive oil. Drain the black beans and mix together with rice, fried onion, sage, and a very generous seasoning of black pepper and salt. Mash thoroughly until it can be shaped into patties. Check seasoning.
