MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Sweet & Sour Beef Stew Categories: Beef, Vegetables, Fruits, Herbs, Chilies Yield: 8 servings 2 lb Beef top round; in 1" dice 2 tb Olive oil 15 oz Can tomato sauce 2 lg Onions; chopped 4 md Carrots; thinly sliced 1 lg Bell pepper; in 1" pieces 1 c Canned pineapple chunks; - drained 1/2 c Cider vinegar 1/4 c Brown sugar; packed 1/4 c Light corn syrup 2 ts Chilli spice mix 2 ts Paprika 1/2 ts Salt Hot cooked rice (optional) In a large skillet, brown beef in oil in batches; drain. Transfer to a 4 or 5 qt slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine the tomato sauce, onions, carrots, green pepper, pineapple, vinegar, brown sugar, corn syrup, chilli spice, paprika, and salt; pour over beef. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until beef is tender. Serve with rice if desired.
