* Exported from MasterCook * Seb Ki Chatni (Apple Chutney) Recipe By : Shyamala Parameswaran Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Chutney Indian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 Tart cooking apples -- peeled, - cored, and copped 1 c Chopped dried fruit -- such as - peaches, apricots, and pears 1/2 c Golden raisins 3 cl Garlic -- chopped 2 ts Fresh ginger -- finely chopped 1 ts Salt 1/4 ts Cayenne pepper 1 c White-wine vinegar 1 1/2 c Sugar In a heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally or until mixture is thick. Remove saucepan from heat and cool chutney to room temperature.
