                          Peach Or Pear Chutney

   4      qt            Peaches or pears -- peeled,
                        - chopped
   1      c             Seedless raisins
   1      c             Onions -- chopped
   3      c             Brown sugar
   2      tb            Salt
   1      cl            Garlic -- minced
   1                    Hot red chili pepper
   5      c             Vinegar

Combine all and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 40 minutes.

Stir a lot to keep from sticking. Pour, boiling hot, into hot jars
and leave 1/4" head space - adjust hot tops (lids). Process
10 minutes in boiling water bath.

Use like A-1 Sauce, etc.

Yield: 7 Pints
