      Title: Easy Eastern Marinade (for beef)

      3 tb soy sauce
      2 tb lemon juice
      2 tb olive oil
      1 tb brown sugar
      1    clove garlic; crushed
      1 ds fresh ground black pepper

  1.  Whisk together all ingredients.  Pour over flank or top round steak, at
   least 3/4" thick, in shallow dish.  Cover and marinate 1 hr to overnight.
