* Exported from MasterCook * Hawaiian-Style Salsa Recipe By : Hawaiian Electric Company Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : To Post Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup frozen -- chopped roasted -- green chile, thawed 1 Maui onion -- chopped 1 can stewed tomatoes -- including liquid, -- or (16 oz) 1 pound fresh tomatoes -- diced 1/2 cup chopped cilantro -- (Chinese parsley) 3 tablespoons chopped green onions 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1/4 teaspoon habanero -- (hot chili) powder 2 teaspoons dried Hawaiian chili peppers -- crushed 1 tablespoon lime juice Salt and pepper to taste In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Let stand for 1 hour to blend flavors. Chill before serving. Serve with cooked eggs, baked fish, tortilla chips, or tacos. Makes about 4 cups.
