MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.02 Title: Texas/ontario Picante Sauce Categories: Sauces Yield: 20 pints 16 c Ontario fresh tomatoes 2 1/2 c White vinegar 1 c Sugar 2/3 c Salt 1 ts Alum 2 ts Cumin 1 c Onions 3 tb Garlic 2 tb Chili powder 1 ts Black pepper 1 c Jalepeno peppers Put all ingredients in food processor and chop (note less chopped-thicker, more chopped-thinner). Pour into a large pot and bring to a boil. Let cool enough to pour into pint jars, then place jars in canning bracket and immerse in water to about 1" below cap. Boil jars for 20 minutes. Let cool. Serve as condiment for all sorts of dishes, perfect with Mexican food. MMMMM
