* Exported from MasterCook II * Ginger Scallion Barbecue Sauce Recipe By : Chris Schlesinger & John Willoughby Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Bbq Sauces & Mops Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 c White vinegar 1 c Soy sauce 2 tb Fresh ginger -- minced 1/3 c Light brown sugar -- - lightly packed 1/2 c Scallions -- minced - white & green parts In small saucepan, combine all ingredients except scallions; bring to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes or until sauce is reduced in volume by about one-half. It should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
