* Exported from MasterCook * Tom Wayman Chili Recipe By : Tom Wayman Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Chili Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 c Butter 2 lb Top sirloin steak -- - coarse ground 2 lb Sirloin steak-top -- cut into - remove all fat & white tissue 3 Green peppers -- chopped 3 lg Onions -- chopped 3 c Garlic -- or more, minced 1/2 c Parsley -- snipped 16 oz Can diced tomatoes (3 c) -- - undrained 1/4 c Chili powder (NM) -- or more 2 tb Salt -- or less 1 1/2 ts Cumin 1 1/2 ts Black pepper (approximate) 1 oz Tabasco In a large cooking pot brown meat in the butter. Pour off 1/3 cup liquid from meat and saute green pepper, onion, garlic & parsley in separate skillet until tender. Add to meat mixture and stir in chili powder, salt, pepper, and cumin. Add tabasco and tomatoes. Simmer entire mixture 1 hour covered, remove lid and simmer at least 30 minutes longer. Stir occasionally. Yield: 10 Servings - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
