* Exported from MasterCook * Portuguese Kale Soup Recipe By : atravers@umassd.edu Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soups & Stews Portuguese Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 tb Crushed red pepper 1 md Onion 2 tb Salt 2 bn Kale (4 boxes frozen) 3 cn Kidney beans 1 1/2 lb Linguica or chourico (Portuguese sausage) -- chopped 6 Potatoes -- peeled and diced 1 Cabbage -- shredded 1 Shank bone with meat Put meats, including linguica or chourico and shank in pot. Add crushed red pepper, onion, and salt. Cover with water. Bring water to boil, and keep simmering until meat is almost done. Put kale, cabbage, and red kidney beans in broth.
