MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Homemade Cheesy Potato Soup Categories: Potatoes, Dairy, Cheese, Herbs Yield: 10 servings 2 tb Butter 1 md Onion; chopped 6 md Potatoes; peeled, diced 5 c Water 2 c Milk 10 3/4 oz Can cream of chicken soup; - undiluted 1/2 ts Garlic salt 1/8 ts Pepper 12 oz Velveeta; in cubes Fresh parsley; minced Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender, 5 minutes. Add potatoes and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until potatoes are tender, 15 minutes. Stir in the milk, soup, garlic salt and pepper; heat until warmed through. Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley.
