MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Italian Cabbage Soup Categories: Greens, Poultry, Vegetables, Herbs, Beans Yield: 8 Servings 4 c Chicken stock 6 oz Can tomato paste 1 sm Cabbage; shredded 4 Celery ribs; chopped 2 lg Carrots; chopped 1 sm Onion; chopped 15 1/2 oz Can Great Northern beans; - rinsed, drained 2 cl Garlic; minced 2 Fresh thyme sprigs 1 Bay leaf 1/2 ts Salt Parmesan cheese; shredded - (optional) In a 5 or 6 qt slow cooker, whisk together stock and tomato paste. Stir in vegetables, beans, garlic, and seasonings. Cook, covered, on low until vegetables are tender, 6 to 8 hours. Remove thyme sprigs and bay leaf. If desired, serve with cheese.
