MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Grandma's Sweet Potato Biscuits Categories: Breads, Potatoes, Dairy Yield: 15 Servings 2 c A-P flour 4 ts Sugar 3 ts Baking powder 1 ts Salt 1 ts Ground cinnamon 1/2 ts Ground nutmeg 1/4 c Shortening 1 c Sweet potatoes; mashed 1/2 c Half & half cream MMMMM------------------------HONEY BUTTER----------------------------- 1/2 c Butter; softened 2 tb Honey 1 ts Ground cinnamon In a small bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine sweet potatoes and cream; stir into crumb mixture just until moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; gently knead 8 to 10 times. Pat or roll out to 1/2" thickness; cut with a floured 2-1/2" biscuit cutter. Reroll and repeat once. Place 1" apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake @ 400°F/205°C for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, beat the butter, honey, and cinnamon until blended.
