                             Blonde Brownies

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

     2/3  c             Margarine -- melted
   1      c             Brown sugar -- packed
   1      c             Granulated sugar
   2                    Eggs
   2      c             Flour -- sifted
   1      ts            Baking powder
     1/4  ts            Baking soda
   1      c             Chocolate chips
     1/2  c             Nuts (optional)

Stir together melted margarine and sugars. Add eggs and mix well.
Stir in sifted flour, baking powder and soda. Stir in chips and nuts.
Spread in greased 13x9" baking pan. Bake 350°F for 30 minutes.

Do not overbake these; they will get dry and crunchy instead of soft
& moist.
