MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Roman Apple Cake Categories: Cakes, Coffee cake Yield: 1 Cake MMMMM----------------------DRY INGREDIENTS--------------------------- 2 1/4 c Flour 1 c Sugar 1/4 ts Salt 1 1/2 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Cloves 1 ts Cinnamon MMMMM----------------------WET INGREDIENTS--------------------------- 1/3 c Butter; (originally 2/3) 2 Eggs 2/3 c Milk 1 1/2 ts Vanilla MMMMM---------------------------FRUIT-------------------------------- 4 c Diced apples; (originally 3) MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING------------------------------- 1 tb Butter 2 ts Cinnamon 1/3 c Brown sugar 2 tb Flour 1/2 c Nuts; (pecan) 1/4 c Rolled oats Grease 9x12 inch baking pan. Peel and dice apples and set them aside. Sift flour and mix dry ingredients in dry ingredients bowl. Blend wet ingredients well in wet ingredients bowl. Stir in the apples. Mix well. Stir in dry ingredients. Pour batter in pan. Set nuts aside. Mix other topping ingredients in dry bowl. Add nuts. Spread topping over cake. Bake 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Recipe by Shirley C. MMMMM
