---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: Cape Cod Blueberry Cake Categories: Cakes, Fruits Yield: 10 Servings 1 3/4 c Flour 1 ts Baking soda 3/4 ts Salt 3/4 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Cinnamon 1/4 ts Nutmeg 1/2 c Shortening 3/4 c Sugar 1 Egg 1/4 c Light corn syrup or - molasses 1 c Water; hot 2 c Bran flakes 1 1/2 c Fresh blueberries or - frozen; unthawed Mix flour with baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices. Cream shortening gradually beat in sugar. Add egg and beat until well blended. Gradually beat in corn syrup and water. Add flour mixture beating until smooth. Stir in blueberries and cereal. Pour into a greased and floured 9" square pan. Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm with whipped topping.
