* Exported from MasterCook * Chucklet Cake Recipe By : Betty Crocker's Merry Makings Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cakes Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 1/4 c Flour 1 3/4 c Sugar 1 1/2 ts Soda 1 ts Salt 1/2 c Shortening 1 1/2 c Buttermilk 1 ts Vanilla 2 Eggs 4 oz Chocolate -- melted 1/2 c Nuts -- chopped Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two layer pans, 9 x 1-1/2". Blend dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add shortening, buttermilk, vanilla. Beat 2 minutes, medium speed on mixer. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. Add eggs and melted chocolate. Beat 2 more minutes. Bake in prepared pans 30 to 35 minutes.
