* Exported from MasterCook * Country Oat Cake Recipe By : Hazel Nute Serving Size : 16 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cakes Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Cake: 18 1/2 oz Pkg spice cake mix 1 c Rolled oats -- uncooked 8 oz Plain low-fat yogurt 3 Eggs or substitute 1/4 c Vegetable oil 1/4 c Water 1 1/2 c Apples (2 md) -- finely chopped Topping: 1 c Rolled oats -- uncooked 1/2 c Brown sugar -- firmly packed 1/4 c Butter -- melted 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon Whipped cream (optional) Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 13x9" baking pan. Cake: Combine first six ingredients. Blend on low speed of electric mixer until moistened; mix at medium speed 2 minutes. Stir in apple. Pour into prepared pan. Topping: Combine oats, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon; mix well. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
