MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Black Forest Upside-Down Cake Categories: Fruits, Cakes, Cheese, Dairy Yield: 16 Servings 21 oz Can cherry pie filling 8 oz Cream cheese; softened 3/4 c Sugar 2 tb A-P flour 1 ts Vanilla extract 2 lg Eggs; room temperature 15 1/4 oz Box devil's food cake mix Whipped cream Set oven @ 350°F/175°C. Spoon pie filling into a greased 12" cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, flour, and vanilla until blended. Gently beat in eggs. Pour over pie filling. Prepare cake mix according to package directions; spoon over cream cheese layer. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. If needed, spoon cherries from pan over cake. Top with whipped cream.
