      Title: Apple Oatmeal Torte

      Yield: 1 Torte
 
MMMMM---------------------------CRUST--------------------------------
      2 c  Flour
    3/4 c  Butter
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 c  Oatmeal
      1 c  Brown sugar

MMMMM--------------------------FILLING-------------------------------
      8    Apples; peeled, diced
      1 c  Water; boiling
      1 c  Sugar
      1 tb Corn starch
    1/2 ts Vanilla
 
  Mix above and press into 8x11" pyrex glass dish. Fill with diced
  apples. Boil remaining ingredients and pour over apples. Bake at
  375°F for 45 minutes.
