MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Jyoti's Fruit Cake Categories: Cakes Yield: 2 Loaves 1 c Currants 1 c Sultanas (golden raisins) 6 tb Butter 1 ts Cinnamon 1/2 ts Ginger powder 1 ts Mace 1 c Soft brown sugar 1 c Water; warm 3 tb Milk 2 c Whole wheat flour 2 ts Baking powder Put the dried fruit, butter, spice, and sugar in a pan with the water and simmer gently for 10 minutes to let the fruit swell. Allow to cool. Add milk. Now sift the flour and baking powder together and add them to the fruit mixture.
